Why yes, I am rotating

Just so you folks know, I am rotating through my artwork -it helps loads to roll back to it and get a bit of a fresh look to it. The drawback would be that you start to want to change all sorts of stuff and it takes longer. :*(

On the plus side, I guess I did manage to finally find a few things I couldn't put my finger on that was bugging me since the early stages of this image. You can find some images of this picture's evolution/assembly on my homepage. I noticed that some folks couldn't figure out some of the things I've changed as I moved along which is a sure sign I'm nitpicking. Maybe. *shrug*

I'll definitely have to post a speed paint here at some point though so people don't start threatenning with the pitchforks, torches, and nooses.

So anyway, onward to the explanation since I don't think I ever actually explained a whole lot of this even on my homepage:

To start, it's a picture of my take on a Sister of Battle from Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 game. I'll spare you the most likely convoluted (SP? Too lazy to get the dictionary right now but you guys probably noticed I don't always check my spelling anyway) background. This is essentially a gothic sci-fi setting and the general story I came up with as I did this piece was that our heroine, Sister Safanya was one of a small group meant to safeguard pilgrims travelling through a sector of space. It turns out that one of the passengers was actually a cultist which bore a hybrid alien which hatches and begins to eat its way through the ship while it's still in warpspace (think of it as a sort of hyperspace) -this pic in particular is of Safanya as she's leaving a church where there was an investigation on the matter. A marine makes a comment which causes her to turn to him with a glare right before her scathing rebuttal.
